Samantha Williams is a film and media composer born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. Most notably, she's been selected as a composer on the upcoming album release with Sounds of Red Bull. "Take Flight" will be recorded at the Synchron Stage in Vienna, Austria. The track will be recorded, mixed, and mastered alongside the Red Bull team and appear on the album come its release in Summer 2025. Samantha's work has also appeared in the documentary NOVA special "Sea Change: The Gulf of Maine" which aired nationwide on PBS summer of 2024.
Nominated for best score for her work on "Juno: The Graveyard of Memories" (Dir. Tariq Stone) at the Berklee Film Scoring Network Festival, Samantha has created her compositional foundation working on various short films from film schools across the country. She's worked on Films from California College of the Arts, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rhode Island School of Design, Mass Art, Emerson College, San Francisco State University, and Maryland Institute College of Art. Through her close collaborations with film directors and artists, Samantha has established herself as a composer that’s “pushing creative boundaries'' (Director. Boxi Chen) and dedicated to achieving excellence in her work.
Samantha is not only limited to film scoring, but has a decades worth of experience as a Jazz Pianist. Growing up Samantha built her foundation on classical music and later developed a love for Jazz. Samantha was awarded the 'Berklee World Tour" Scholarship for piano performance and obtained a Bachelor's of Music degree majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music. In addition to her compositional work, she's participated in various jazz ensembles and trios in the Boston area.
